I had my first attack 3 years ago. I was shocked to hear it was gout. I told the doctor never again. He laughed and said once you have it, you always have it.
Long story short.... every day I squeeze a lemons juice into a litre bottle, fill with water and drink it. I eat and drink whatever I like and have nothing close to resembling a gout attack in the 3 years since

Avoid sugar, grain and processed meats. Eat only organic red meat, not the stuff injected with all kinds of rubbish.
For long term relief within 24 hours try any, a combination or all off the following:
Celery Juice/Raw celery or Celery seed extract, Black Cherry juice, Nettle tea or stinging nettle supplements, pro biotic enzymes which can be found in pine apple, magnesium supplements and fish oil which are slower but very effective over time.

I hope you have had that checked out by a Doctor. After 52 years of very healthy living I suddenly developed gout which I wrote off to age and diet and attempted fix with tart cherry, lemons and water. Turns out it was the first signs of leukemia and I nearly died as a result. Do not fool around with gout it may be way more than just diet and age!!

Try drinking sodium bicarbonate in water. (Baking Soda). It helps..

I'm drinking rlthat A Vogel alkaline powder now.....it does seem to help
