The reason we have the same results is the reason we need to take a calculated look at the setup as it stands. I think the following changes will deliver the best results:-

We need a foreign coach e.g. Dave Whatmore or Jason Gillespie.
Contract stars until 2019 with big penalties if they pull out - e.g. Amla / AB / etc
Make changes now - DROP JP / Parnell / Behardien / Tahir / Morkel (They are not good enough or will be too old)!
Get Jacques Kallis on the selection committee.

I have said it a few times in the past, and will not change my view... ask him what he wants, and give it to him. Stephen Flemming is imo the most underestimated coach in world cricket....

Agree, Pakistan nearly blew it against Sri Lanka chasing a similar total. If Sri Lanka could have held onto their catches at the end it could have been a different result. Should be an interesting run chase never the less.

Did we not need 213 to beat the Aussies in '99. Similar score.

With the form they have been in, chasing in the final makes India almost impossible to beat.

Really warm in London today, won't be surprised if the bowlers get a bit swing later

Maybe the Pakistanis can put the pressure on the chase ?

While I fancy India strongly here, it would not surprise me if Pakistan pulls off a major upset...they are capable. We know they'll be up for it, with the history between the teams and countries. This is the one fixture both hate to lose.
