What a brilliant knock from Chris Gayle, 10 x 6 so far, smashing the bowling all over the ground. Good to see him back playing for the WIndies.

On the ropes already and all because of a captain that cant read the conditions, well last week he could not set a field giving Sri Lanka easy runs and today he wins the toss and bats. 3 wickets down in the first half hours play.

When CSA released Russell Domingo in 2017 after a very poor tour of England,I thought that ,particularly with no ABdeV available, that batting was the weak side of the Proteas.
No disprespect to Otis Gibson but he ain't a Batting Coach and I cannot understand ,on that basis ,why he was appointed.
Bowling is not an apparent weakness but batting at the moment isn't great!

They should of done all they could to keep Neil McKenzie onboard... Not just on consultancy basis.

If this Sri Lankan attack can bowl the Proteas out with ease in which they have done imagine what England are going to do to them when they tour SA this year. In the Proteas defence their captain can’t read a pitch. He should never have elected to bat first as the pitch was alive for the first two sessions. I expect Sri Lanka to pass the 222 and the Proteas then to set them around 270 which the Sri Lankan’s will chase down after which the SA selectors should appoint a new captain as du a Plessis has run his race

this match is so far ahead that the resident band of St Georges Park wont even have time to warm up before its all over. PE locals will have to settle for a Sunday drive for their entertainment this weekend
