Maybe I should change my thoughts as you can never win the league with a poor keeper and the Chelsea keeper is awful

Was there any need for Lampard to keep signings on terraces? I have seen grit coaches like Mourinho signing a player from Madrid landing same day in Milan and the player found himself in starting XI in the Derby della Madonnina.
Thiago didn't train with Reds but his legs looked like hes been training for months under Klopp. Sometimes the confidence you have on new signings give an edge to ultra performance in return.
On the red card i felt Liverpool didn't go hard on Chelsea the way they would have done if it was 11v11 contest. They felt bad hammering helpless Chelsea something teams like Bayern do. The maturity, cohesion and 'need to score' is almost at peak under Klopp.

The season so far
United are shite
Leicester and Liverpool winning comfortably :woohoo:
Spurs playing attacking football which is great
City to play Wolves later , which I will be watching with keen interest

You left out Everton, Arsenal and Palace all three with 2/2 record. I think that Wolves will beat Man City

Thiago has already fitted into the squad. Should start all games from now.

although he only played for 45 minutes he made more passes than the whole of the Chelsea team did in the entire match

That would have been an amazing stat but it's a bit off....
– In his 45 minutes against Chelsea, Thiago completed more passes (75) than any Chelsea player managed in the full 90. In comparison, the Blues’ top passer, Matteo Kovacic only managed 58 passes.
– Since passing data became available in 2003, Thiago’s 75 successful passes are the most by a Premier League player who played a maximum of 45 minutes.
It's still very good but if he can manage that against a full team (remember Chelsea where down to 10 men when he came on) it would have been brilliant.

Re: Premier League 20/21
4 years 8 months agoSometimes being 10 men require just mental strength. I have seen 10 men teams winning, most recent bottom placed Goais in Brazil Serie A played 84 min as 10 men against Inter placed first and won. Thats madness but it happened.durbs wrote:Victor wrote:cross wrote: Thiago has already fitted into the squad. Should start all games from now.

Yes it happens Eram.
But the team playing against the 10 man team will always have more possession and be in control of the game so it definitely flatters Thiago a bit.
