With or without a deal, shouldn't the referendum result be seen through?

It may mean some severe pain in the short term but in the long term, wouldn't England be better for it? A bit like Iceland had to deal with the pain in 200-2011 but is now a better country and economy...

I dont think anybody can answer your original question as even the Government dont know what they are doing

PS England is not the UK, the UK comprises of 4 countries, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

There is one thing I have not been able to understand about this whole Brexit business.
As I understand ,the Referendum vote was a personal and non party vote to leave or stay in the European Union.
It then beheld the Government,Torys,to negotiate the leaving conditions etc.
Why wasn't this responsibility an all party responsibility.

Your last sentence, and therein lay the problem

The right wing of the Tory party took over and the only reason why May is still PM is because she panders to them. It now is becoming more and more apparent that we will leave with a no deal which will according to the Governments own analysis will be a catastrophic for the entire country. Shortage of life saving medicines, food shortages, no security warnings re attacks on the country, peoples jobs will go, the pound will crash yet the Government pursue it.i voted to remain and asI am democratic the country voted to leave, which it must, but not on a no deal as millions are going to suffer for the pleasure of the ultra rich who will make tons of cash.

This Brexit reminds me of a dog chasing a car and finally catching it by sinking it's teeth into the rear bumper. Now the mutt doesn't have a fecking clue what to do about it, as there was never an expectation that the car would be caught in the first place.

Theresa May is the laughing stock of political leaders worldwide. To be honest I am sick to death about this whole sorry mess, and can just imagine what it must be like being a citizen of that dreary little island.

I spoke to a woman who voted for brexit and asked her why she did, her answer was so that all the EU foreigners can get kicked out. She works for a chemist in the village, the owner of the chemist? An Irish citizen.

England and Wales voted to leave whilst Scotland and Northern Ireland voted to remain and thats one of the many reasons why the entire UK is split down the middle.

People had their reasons to vote either way but since day one its been a monumental balls up and still it is after nearly 3 years.

Lies from both sides were told to the electorate (sounds familiar?)

Now the MPs cant make up their minds which way to go as on the one side you have hard brexiters who want to leave the EU with no deal thus putting the country at risk and there are others who want to leave on Mays deal which imo is flawed re the NI situation then there are others who want a 2nd referendum and then there are other MPs who want to revoke the whole process.

In the meantime business is panicking as they dont know where they sand re tariffs/workforce/pound etc etc. Unfortunately May decided right from the outset that she was the one to deliver brexit basically on her own who has now been proven to be her biggest mistake especially that she is pandering to the far right wing of her party who in the meantime are wanting to stick the knife in and kick her out so that one of them can become PM.

Its a messy business, but then it is politics.

I wonder what the odds would be for:
a Utd Ireland?
Scotland breaking away?
England a state of USA?

If there is a No deal then Scotland will definitely have a 2nd ref for Independence

I cant see a United Ireland without a war of some kind

The one institution that everyone holds dear in the UK, the NHS, will be sold off to the Americans.
