What a great start to the weekend Stormers got embarrassed by the brainless Bulls :woohoo: :woohoo:
Sharks showed there class by winning comfortably against strong opposition :woohoo:

end of story
Only won it 17 times since it is decided by a final - 6 less than the Bulls.

Last Friday’s game between Bulls and Stormers, where the Stormers were lucky to have nil after 61 minutes of play, reminded me of that classic game in 1969.
After 60 min. Northern Transvaal lead WP 35-0.
But they were now down to two able bodied players (substitutions were not allowed those days).
After another minute Mof Myburgh had to leave to have a dislocated shoulder popped back in.
Frik told him not to worry – just make it quick.
When Mof came back after 12 minutes the score was 35-27.
What happened? he asks Frik
Don’t know , I’m told I was unconscious for 7 minutes.

Anytime you can get a "big score" handicap on Griquas,at home, that is a good bet...They leading the lions 20-7 after 23 mins ....lol
I think the Lions will battle to get 22 points ahead from that!(hopefully

It is a different challenge these days - especially now with Super Rugby only finishing so late in the season - so most of the teams now have a completely new look - Cheetahs the only side to have kept most of their 'regulars' and it shows on the log.
Lions unfortunately are lacking the power up front - and the Bulls played a very good tactical game focused on old-fashioned strengths - win your own ball and spoil the oppositions, backed up by a great defensive pattern.
How WP came back after looking a beaten side at half-time I don't know - Sharks only have themselves to blame after a dangerous tackle which saw one of their best players on the bench for 10 minutes - and next week they face the Cheetahs - luckily for them at home where they may be competitive
I think a few surprises in store still, but t this stage the Cheetahs look the team to beat
