carlosthe jackal, you say you've met Peter M & you believe him to be a decent hardworking pleasant guy. This may be very true, but from the responce above it appears that he ' rubs ' up a lot of people the " wrong way ". He has been known as Mr. Kimberley for donkeys years now, & his departure from Kimberley would no doubt leave a big void......... but at the same time it might make a lot of people happy. We all know he dominates Kimberley racing with the shear numbers of horses & the quality of his horses. ( let me add a lot of Joburg trainers would GLADLY accept the C.Laird / Jooste " chuck outs " )

Playing the jackpot and P6 you should not be allowed the advantage of coupled horses applying. Abolish the coupling rule.

Peter Miller deserves whatever he gets - many moons ago when i was with Racing Digest he was one of the trainers that you could always call and would talk about his horses- He trained a horse called Sligo Bay that won a number of heats in Gauteng and always returned calls etc He may rub people up the wrong way but I'm sure if the guy opened up a yard in gauteng he'd be in the top five trainers in no time-

Abolishing the coupling rule will leave us very open to manipulation in my opinion. And how many times has the pacemaker stayed on to beat his coupling? Too many to mention. Nothing is worse than losing when you think or feel you've been had.

I'd like to know next Monday Flamingo park - R2,Peter Miller has 7 of 8 runners........ what the tote turnover will be on this race. Almost guaranteed " the favourite " will not win, but one of the stable couplings will.

Had he scratched 1 horse, the race would probably have fallen away.

Thank God P was wise enough NOT to include this race in PA or P6 - which would then be a P5 !

The funny thing is I reckon the only non-Miller horse in the race has a pretty decent chance. Eye Of The World makes the trip back from PE after winning the last time he was at Flamingo, so it's the David of Newturf versus the Goliath of Peter Miller.B)
