R1) Maiko magic 11 / 1 a fair e.way I think..... was interfered by a loose horse last time, was in same race as Ugly Betty...... should have finished a lot closer to ugly betty if not for interference in last 200 - 300 m.

R3) my runner silver specialist back to sand..... further now, I hope he can RUN ON......into the money.

Seems pretty tricky to me; thoughts:

R1: Ugly Betty and Pecan Whistle stand out
R2: Very tough - I'm going wide in the PA
R3: Cuve should at least place - agree with The Happy Horseplayer that Crispian's Day can improve more in his 2nd run for the Woodruff stable. I'm sure Elvis won't mind me sharing the stable's opinion that Silver Specialist will improve over this trip - could be value for swingers, trifectas and quartets
R4: Veto from Island Prince - Calanish to complete the trifecta
R5: Starstruck has the draw but is held on previous course and distance run by all of Desolate View, Shot in the Dark and Bullion Fever - Polo comes in off her sand rating which is about 25 points below her current turf rating and she gets the appie allowance - will win by lengths if she is as effective on sand
R6: Another competitive race but Wood Be could have won by 10 lengths last time and may prove equal to the task here
R7: Don't Tell Titch now ridden by David, in form and sure to go close - Paramo well in here and could hold on for a place
R8: Dixie Lass has proven somewhat inconsistent in the past, but should win again if repeating her last run - Rebecca Sharp as backup in the PA for me

Good improvement by Elvis's horse - would have finished a clear 2nd had he run straight - blinkers may do the trick next time;)
