Trust me if What a Winter opens up at 2/1, before you can blink he will be double or triple claimed.
Don't worry about the form of his last run. He disposed of them with contempt. In his 2nd start he played with hard knocking horses like Never Forever, Kentucky Express, etc. This after he got left at the start. I know cause I got the lot that day.
He has a high cruising speed and quickens like a good thing. One of the best horses we have seen in a long time.
Don't go against him.

I don't know what is so bad with the form behind him in his last run. He beat Darcy's Arcy by 6.75 lenghts with ease. Next time out Darcy's Arcy runs 1 length behind Kiss Again, one of the top 3 year old's in the Cape last year, and 3 lenghts behind Castlethorpe, who came out to win on Wednesday. You can't blame What a Winter for what is put against it all he can do is beat the field.

What a Winter has opened at 1/3. Wish I could get some 6/10.

He may well win by a street boys, but he is no 1/3 shot in this field.

Lets rather watch the race!

I thought the soccer six info Shaheen kept updating me with through the day was most exciting.

Pity i fell a sleep before the 6th race. Missed good racing i see.

Boys he should NEVER have been this short in the betting. He ran about as well as I thought he would.....

Let me tell you what. Go look over all the cards this weekend where a horse had won 3 races in a row and he was going for 4......It is ALMOST impossible.

Hope he came out the race ok!

Here's a scary thought :

Many years ago when I was a horse betting victim an old timer told me the following :

The record of odds on favourites over the Kenilworth 1400 metres ( old course ) is dire. Only about 4% of them win.

I don't know whether that statistic has changed in recent years but yesterday's result reminded me of it when I watched the replays. At the very least it was a cautionary for getting over excited about a young horse about whom even the trainer had expressed reservations beyond sprint distances.
