Indeed. It happened to one of our horses earlier this year in PE, although at least it was out of camera shot because it happened more slowly than in yesterday's case. The end result was still the same, though. Sad, but what can you do.

Amazingly enough Seeking The Stone survived. He bled very badly - the jockey was sprayed with blood. However, he was led away from the incident (with blood still covering his nose).
