Good going Magi, and stiffs Frodo. No kind of run in the soft today? Looking back I made two very good choices because of the going, Emperor Elect and Regal Ransom and one very bad decision in Smart Girl.....It's never very straight forward is it?

Barry CS having won 6 races looked a stick out bet with Marcus up,plus the huge drop in MR,but it wasnt to be as she ran out of the places.Has become a Bookies favourite.

Funny how opinions differ; I gave CS no chance last night, but she proved that she can actually run on turf (just not as well as on sand) and if her MR gets dropped by another few points, I see no reason why she can't win on turf.

Smart Girl was a bit disappointing and could be better on firmer conditions - Fuselage was my 2nd choice (Danish my 3rd) and I should have included her in the PA, she is definitely one to remember (as pointed out by Kabz) in the future.

Have to agree with pirates (another thread) where he mentions that St John is placing his horses very well - they seem to be well handicapped in most cases and well done to him.

Well done to everyone who made a bit of cash before xmas; it turned out an enjoyable evening :)(apart from Smart Girl):(

Looked a stick out bet after never having run a place in maiden company on grass? I think that's a bit unfair....Stiff with Fuselage, Barry, but I have to say the winner produced an impressive turn of foot. She looked more likely to start singing the national anthem than to win the race 400m out.
