I can confirm as owners (zoro/oscar/myself) have moved the horse to Snaith.

May as well add my 2 cents worth - maybe a bit harsh to move a horse just after its won but hey the previous trainer sure had it long enough to work it out. I think probably agood move but sure enough time will tell.

Pirates Mitch Wiese may not be a bad trainer but his placing of horses is pathetic including the above mentioned horse as well as clan classique not to mention his string presently in cape town and one wonders if he indeed understands the merit rating system cos in my opinion it looks like he has no idea

Someone like Jack Dash should have a one day seminar for trainers educating them on handicapping. I'm sure many would be too proud to attend, but there would be many willing to expand their knowledge.

Pirates so you actually saying that the trainers word is final in this scenario, yet i make a call by leaving the horse and insisting that it runs over the ground and wins, ensuring that it has paid its keep for the year.If the horse does nothing from now on do you think that was a bad call,or would you just keep on paying a trainer where you felt your horse has nothing left in the tank.If the call was not made, and the horse was retired would i have been better off in this case,i dont think so.

It could have been worse. He could have told the jock to hook it up so that he wasn't proven wrong.

not all trainers are loyal to owners, loyalty should be from both sides and not all trainers take interest in all their horses. I have trained amateur and know a bit about the game and own my own race horses. sometimes you feel trainers don't always tell you the truth about your horse, I am with a trainer now whom i can discuss my horse with at anytime of day with him and he makes time to listen to complaints or anything i would like to discuss with him, all owners should be treated the same but unfortunately money talks in this game. my money is just as good as the next guy and every owner feels their horse is better than the next horse.

I recall a very close friend of mine had a few horses with a particulat Kzn trainer, According to the trainer, this horse is an absolute"dud". The trainer suggested that he donate this horse after 2 years of training cost incurred. Surprisingly, the horse was bought buy the trainer and the most AMAZING thing happened. First run for the trainer over the same distance that it competed in the last 3 to 4 races, The horse won and then followed up with another win and a few places thereafter.
Makes you wonder?
