14 years 6 months ago
Looks like a few upsets are on the way....
R1 - Westa, expensive to follow but may have found a vulnerable field today
R2 - Tree of Perfection
R3 - Ibhola, i suspect a somebody is planning a double
R4 - Skirmish
R5 - Challenger Quay
R6 - Call to combat
R7 - Hollywoodboulevard
R8 - Super Trouper, may benefit from the fast pace
R9 - Desert Maiden

Some nice racing from the Big T today; thoughts (race 1 and 2 very open imo, so I'm passing those by)
R3: Flaming Forge all the rage, but there is a worrying line of form through Colca Canyon which suggests that Eldorado has him (and Hard Currency) beat; then on a line through King's Home, Ibhola could finish in front of Eldorado - perhaps wise to include a few in the PA, and Ibhola (who may improve more with blinkers) could prove a nice each way bet
R4: Skirmish seems the right one in a weak field with Joshua's Song the danger (but the jock does not inspire much confidence) - the MR's of quite a few of these are coming down quite substantially though (especially Mindful and Cool Your Jets), so an upset result is not out of the question imo.
R5: I fancy Two Tone strongly here; I think he is going to be ideally suited to the track and trip, while Exclaim 'N Exclude may be a better proposition down the straight and Master Blaster's last run does not inspire any confidence; Umkomaas is improving and tries the 1200; could run into the quartet imo
R6: Bulsara back in a handicap, but does look hard to beat even with 63 on his back; also the competition does not look all that strong - include Goat in the placings - she has run well after a rest before and ran close enough to a top campaigner like River Jetez at level weights to suggest she has the class to feature here if ready - but most of the others could take advantage if Bulsara fails
R7: Hollywoodboulevard found trouble in her last start and still won - only danger imo is Happy Archer, while bottom weight Chances Are could sneak a place a big odds
R8: Tough to split Link Man, Shea Shea and Captain's Key - riding arrangements and the betting suggests that Gold Onyx will need the run and the others have lots to find here imo
R9: On her last effort, Ern or Else looks the right one here; she also should improve over this trip; if she fails it becomes a bit of a nightmare - In Moderation comes down from a 71 to a 55 and may not have enjoyed the wet conditions in her last 2 starts, so could be the joker in the pack
Play well

Well according to the commentator she was 'getting swamped' 200 out - not sure which race he was watching:S
Interesting post race interview - Darryll trying to convince Pierre that Master Blaster must have a chance

Frodo,you noticed too?
To interview someone like striker and then tell him where is wrong is beyond belief....even if he ends up being right!
2 cents needs to look up the the traits of narcissim and then look for the cure!
