May i ask do the authorities investigate when 6 of 16 carded runners are scratched in one race.
Is this not opening up betting to manipulation when so many horses are scratched.

Had a look at the scratchings race (Ken 4 I assume). 6 scratched horses, 3 owned by absentee owners, 2 by the same owner in different yards and the other co-owned by the trainer. 2 looked to have chances, 1 first-timer and and 3 with lots of improving to do.
I'm very curious as to how money can be made by multiple scratchings, how you would get these trainers to collude and how you would pay them for the collusion, and for that matter how much it would be worth.
People can scratch their horses with a reason, or just make one up. But when you invent the way to make money by not showing up, please let me know.
