Thanks greg - if you keep this up I'll vote for you again next month:D

Laurel and Star Rating in the same race today - gee, I only have an interest in 3 horses, and 2 of them end up in the same race – there are no races over 1000 for the fillies, so Roy opted to run Laurel against the colts – Juglall is going to ride her – he has worked her in the mornings and in the end the 1.5 claim got him the nod (although if I had my way Felix would have been on top – weight not being that important over 1000 imo). The draw really beat her last time and she is well, but the stable has been a bit quiet (no winners yet this month) so expecting a place is probably more realistic than a win.

Regarding Star Rating, he just held on last time, but that was his 2nd run after gelding and there has been a couple of winners out of that race so the form looks strong (even Bullard's run on Tuesday looks good on times); if Chad can get him to jump (bit of a concern as he has not sat on him before) I think he could surprise at nice odds.

So if I had to choose I slightly prefer Star Rating (if he jumps) – the swinger could be the way to go and it will pay well I think.

Interesting talk about Chilly Bite in the 4th; I also heard that there is a lot of confidence in her chances from the owner's side, but Baby Elvis not that confident I hear

Eskimo Inn in the 2nd should not get beat, in the 3rd I like Manchurian Tiger to beat Dan's Approval, Skyblade is beatable as well imo; then we have some competitive handicaps; in the 9th Boylan Blaze seems very well handicapped and I make it hard to beat - 7/2 was a steal imo. Treble for me: Eskimo Inn, Manchurian TIger and Boylan Blaze.

Play well

Hi Wagga Wagga, David Boyarsky trains a few of our horses including Danger Point, he trained here some 30 years ago. He has trained in Holland and several other countries but spent the last 20 odd years training in the USA. He is semi retired and does this more to keep himself busy than anything else. He has a string of about 14 horses, most of which are 2 year olds. He has different methods of training than other local trainers use, which he learned in the States. He uses Baby Elvis and Denies Lee to work his horses when available and at the Vaal.

When he got Chilli Bite he was amazed that the horse was ever put in a race. She put on about 80 kgs in the first few months with him and he has built her up slowly, he expects a good run from he today. He doesn't believe in prep runs he feels a horse should do enough work at home to bew able to win at the track. Like I said in my earlier post do not leave Chilli Bite out of the trifectas and quartets.
