Seemed to get pushed wide by the horses on her inside. Maybe she didn't take kindly to that?

She may have hated the ground, but she kicked on nicely, I thought if she does not win, then she will go very close, next thing Kevins hands are down.
I don't think I would have been too happy with his explanation, as he did not give her a real chance of winning, even with the bit of intimidation from the Horse inside her.

Ships Gossip, i am no jockey, but from where i was watching i couldn't believe that he stopped riding. It in all honesty looked like she was comg through to challenge......anyway, i leave the riding to the professionals

What did he mean. Too hard or to soft. It was neither.

The Stipendiary Stewards Reported (SA): RECUSO (AUS) (*A Mgudlwa) : The winner. Selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Goodman advised (TN).
Trainer J Goodman was questioned with regard to the improved performance of RECUSO (AUS) (*A Mgudlwa), the winner, compared to this gelding's previous performance on the 13.05.2011 at Greyville Racecourse. Mr Goodman explained that the drop in merit rating from 76 to 70 had made this gelding more competitive in today's field. The Board noted his explanation and advised Mr Goodman that the future performances of RECUSO (AUS) will be monitored.
MISS DIANA (K Shea) : Becomes cramped for galloping room for a number of strides at approximately the 250 metre mark.
Jockey R Fradd the rider of HUNT THE JESTER (AUS) (8.80 lengths) and Jockey J Samuel the rider of FLAVIO (8,85 lengths) reported their respective mounts took no interest in running in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine HUNT THE JESTER (AUS) and FLAVIO.

So was it the ground or being cramped for room? just watched the replay and Shea looked to be going well enough and there appeared to be enough room along the rails for a "brave" jockey...
