Peekay -
Tell me about it. I am still sick from yesterday. Had all doubles with Offertorium and nothing to show for it.
Greyville does not look easy.

Yes i too have noticed the going in Kimberly has slowed up in the last couple of meetings ! The track is not standard as they describe in the track report .

My speculation is that and i stress this is purely my view .I recall reading in the press that the late Peter Miller was very involved in the preparation of the track before racedays .

Most meetings the track would run consistently , i would describe it as standard or just above standard. The weather plays a part on it as well .
I have noticed that when it rains there on the day or the day before a meet , the track runs slow .I mo the people responsible for preparing the track may not be doing it 100% .I really do not know what the preparation entails .I do know that it has been running slow the last couple of meetings the officials should check the run ons .

Here is one example , Petrus

KY222 11.04.04 G MR72 1800 J P v'd Merwe 55.5 1 0.00 110.75

Today
2 PETRUS Juan Paul V'D Merwe *0.0 A 59.5 11 1 0.00 115.34

4 odd seconds difference if it was 2 seconds that would be acceptable Imo!
