I still maintain that bookies should offer the ''client'' the option of 3 places or 4 places for 14 or more runners on there betting sites.

Let the punter decide which he/she wants to take?? ... I don't see why this can't be done?

Hollywood is customer centric. They are willing to try new innovations, probably they will implement your suggestion 'the option of 3 places or 4 places for
14 or more runners on there betting sites.'

Hollywood are the leaders in SA I like to quote Magiclips 'all the other bookies are like sheep.'

The problem for most bookmakers is keeping track of liabilities, which would be quite tricky unless you have the 2 markets you are providing,interfacing on some computer system.
Hollywood are obviously big enough to enjoy a "we'll stand it all" strategy which is why on the July they had 2,3,4,5 and 6 place markets.
Not as easy for the lesser capitalised sites!

You lose some and win some.

I always believed that Bettingworld offered the best ante-post odds. Boy or boy , today I was proved otherwise.

My mate went this morning to place some bets ( including doubles) at Bettingworld. He came back home to recheck odds. Logged onto Marshalls and Hollywood and found the he could have got R8000.00 more for his R5000.00 outlay.

He is bitterly disappointed.

I have played with Sepel for 20 years and have never heard of him shirk a bet, I usually get a double stretch and can phone at any time for a bet, Hollywood may be bigger but I am very happy with Sepel.

Personally, I would like see an optional place for 1st or 2nd place only, as in the USA.
