Greg I hope not. We have Espectro in the race and he will be far better suited to the 1000 meters. He has come on nicely from his first run which was admittedly against a very weak field but this field is not much stronger. He is very well and we are expecting a good run from him today and believe if he preproduces what he shows us at home he will go very close to winning.

Adding Royal Vessel in the 3rd, turf debut over further, may be the lurker?

Shrek......good luck for today. He had plenty pace last time and just faded late. Should be way better suited to the 1000m........i see 22/10 on offer for a place.....that surely MUST be worth a bet if you are quite confident of the win?

Normal out of season stuff at the Vaal today; thoughts:
R2: Retempo is drifting it seems, but really should be much too classy for this lot imo
R3: Ibhola has been placed in 4 of his last 5 runs over this sort of trip - seems to hold most of the others and could be a PA banker at least - Chop Suey had excuses in his 2 most recent runs so could prove the main danger but is having his 23rd start as a maiden
R4: Weakish but very competitive fillies and mares handicap - not much separating Vivid, Mastende, Golden Handhake and Pacific Destiny on their best recent runs, while Scented Breeze and Royal Overture can not be ignored - load up.
R5: Decameron clearly did not fancy the sand last time but could get back to winning ways here - for a bit of value I'm including the Terry Lowe coupling (especially Land Baron who has run against much stronger) - his horses have been running well lately and also the scratching Flying Mo in the P6
R6: Another competitive fillies and mares handicap - I'm including the scratching As TIme Goes On (this will give you the coupling as well as the favorite - likely to be Kalaam), the Houldalakis coupling and Caprichosa in the P6 - Skyblade is on a hat-trick and is another to be considered - not sure about Lady Beatrix who might find this too far
R7: Yet another fillies and mares handicap and this is very open imo - Wollondilly beat Boodles and Cayman Lady by more than 9 lenghts in the maidens and these two then ran close up on Saturday, so she could be above average - not much between Silver Forest, High Blue Sky and Secret Ravine - load up
R8: If one gets this far in the P6, it could be worth to side with the scratched Boss Cat - getting the favorite (who should be Where's My Chop) and hope for the best - others to consider include Ask Jackie. Top Class and Cavern Club
Play well - and all the best, Shrek(tu)

Thanks PeeKay, I have takes a nice eashway on World of Sport at 20/1 a win and 28/10 a place there seems about the best place price around.

Greg, it won unextended and the form is franked.......but i know how much you fancy your 2yo's.
It is going to be very hard to beat Legal Account.....highest rated in this Novice Plate and also Wittenberg ran just behind Brown Penny on July day and came out to win on Sunday.......so this form is also franked.
Saying all of this......Delpech is trying for the championship, so might well give LA a fright
i am personally bankering Legal Account
