If anyone wants to have any input or make representations to the ECGBB with
regard to Phumelela's application to amend it's licence conditions requiring that
it maintain 2 race courses in Port Elizabeth, you only have until 11 August to
submit your objections.
After that it will definitely be "goodbye Arlington"

There was a notice from the East Cape Gambling and Betting Board in the EP Herald on 12th July
calling for comment within 30 days for the lifting of a number of conditions imposed on Phumelela
when they applied for the transfer of the race course licence from East Cape Racing about 10
years ago. Among the conditions was that they maintain 2 race courses and a Telebet centre
in PE.
I will try to find the advert but the website for the Gambling Board is www.ecgbb.co.za but don't
hold your breath waiting for any reply from them to any email, as they seldom respond, even
to lawyers letters.
