Horses for Saturday's 29th running of the Arlington Million (G1), 21st renewal of the $750,000 Beverly D. (G1) and 35th edition of the $400,000 Secretariat S. (G1) went through tune-ups of varying intensity Thursday morning during training hours at Chicago's suburban oval.

Most impressive among them was the Beverly D. runner RIVER JETEZ (SAf) (Jet Master), owned by Barbara and Cedrick Amm and Marsh Shirtliff, who appeared on the turf course shortly after 8 a.m. (CDT) under Trevor Brown, went five furlongs in :51 flat and got the last eighth in :12. The ground was listed as "yielding" and the "dogs" were well out from the rail.

"She looked to me like the best one out there today," Arlington Park clocker Bobby Belpedio said. "She was all business and seemed to know exactly what she was doing."

Nice to see Derby form holdout,there is a good bunch of 3yo in Europe this year

RJ will be hard to beat. She is as consistent now as she was 3 years ago!!!

The big 3 in the Million for me would be Cape blanco, Gio Ponti and Wigmore Hall. Think Wigmore will be right there when the chips are down!!

She was never going to catch the French filly....just too good on the day!

Very Simple victory for Stacelita,still not convinced with THE BELGIAN,if RJ had been good enough was she just to run up Stacelita`s nat king cole?

Agreed, can never like what that numpty does on a horse.....still, not sure she could have beaten her!
