Shit Casey and here I thought that you were an intelleigent guy. The Nats fought for racisim and against majority rule. The Cubans and the Chinese went to Angola to fight the resistance movement and the South Africans got involved to fight against the ANC who had fled to Angola to set up camps. It had nothing to do with communism just like Iraq war had nothing to do with WMD. Politicians the world over are all liars and thieves. Dont you ever learn????

"Communism" was just a convenient all-encompassing term for anything which threatened white minority rule. All the Nats managed to do was postpone the inevitable, costing many people of all races and creeds their lives in the process. But it's history now, and this is not the forum for a political debate.

All I meant to infer by my Hitler comment is that "fighting for what one believes in" does not necessarily amount to much of a justification. The 9/11 hijackers, Timoth McVeigh, and this homicidal Norwegian c#nt could also justify their actions on that basis, not so?

at the time the majority rule was gonna be under communism idealogy.... now for the life of me i would rather have lived through the nats ruling than the anc.... im sure the current situatiuon in this country is proof enuf that if the anc did get hold of this country in the 70's or 80's we wouldnt be living in comfort. and yes i know that the nats faught for apartheid.. for the same reason they fought communism... the countries that were on our borders that were commies were targetted as they were used as "safe-houses" by trained Mk soldiers (trained by eastern bloc countries cuba n china).... i lost a few buddies while fighting in angola, i was ambushed & yes did my fair share of shooting terrorists.... all for the sake of trying to keep my loved ones at home away from the clutches of communism nd the anc at that time.

Wonbyamile - well said! I guess half of the people on this topic don't know what you are talking about, hence the comments. It is so strange how bad everything under apartheid suddenly has become - even the people who supported it are now gone and sitting on the other side! Yes, there were bad policies then but I can think of a few that still stands today..
