The dutching worked out well today, resulting in a 4.12 unit profit thanks to Lady Tamara.

I can't even buy the pick six now, after having such a great start to the month.
Went with a tiny % of a big perm today and missed one leg, the third.
In that race, I put in 10 of the 15, leaving out the four 40/1+ shots (as the betting was this morning) and one horse priced less than that (@ 20/1).
Just had to be the winner.
The pick six paid really well, and I even had 8 horses spare to try to beat the hot favourite in the last.

Sabre I don't want to be a after race merchant but I had 2 bankers Lion in Winter and Nikki T ... I did something similar to you, marked FIELD in the 6th race but then took out horses:?.. Greed I suppose, wanted a bigger percentage...
...Moral of the story, NEVER take out, but you can always add in....(
)
I guess one leg or 6 legs out, its still a loosing ticket...(td)

Heh, yep, that's about right. Field was the right thing to do in that race. Easy in hindsight as always, but it just looks so obvious now.
I was convinced that Nikki T should not have been odds-on and decided to have a shot at an upset there. Not unhappy with that decision, but it did mean the cost was too high.
Well done for bankering Lion In Winter though. (tu)

We have always had 3 tracks in KZN.
I am of the opinion that the tracks are not maintained adequately. Clairwood is becoming as bad as Scottsville.
