Hope your boy is ok.....I personally think his best run in the last while was over 1450m.....perhaps this is a better distance for him? I believe he is one of those horses who LOVES running on from off the pace. He needs a very strong pace to show his best. Perhaps even drop him back to the 6 furlongs?
