WIth Alan Jones already off with an injury to another Prop it would have been uncontested scrums and they could have brought on a loosie or lock for him. Their 7 man scrum would not have been under pressure or needed to commit a center to fill the vacant Flank position.

I see now 9/10 on offer for NZ at -15.5............this is the bet for me.........i am going to take it, but the only question is HOW MUCH DO I WAGER?? What do you think Shrek? I know it's a final after all, but from what i have seen from the French, te All Blacks are going to open them up like a can of whipass.

take as much as you can - they should score three tries at least - i would also think about Dagg scoring a try in the final

Peekay NZ should win by 20 points plus, my only worry is exacly what you said it is a final and you never know if they would close up shop at what differential. I like 15,5 because NZ would want to get two clear scores ahead with would mean 15 plus points so your only loss would be on the 15 mark. I don't think the Kiwi's will defend a lead as they are so superior and I think they will extend a big enough lead to keep attacking regardless whether the French score a few points. My prediction is NZ to win 39-9.

Another great bet is in the Currie Cup the Sharks are 16/10 to win outright if you shop around. With their Boks back and are bang in form at the right time. The Cheetahs have not been convincing in the past few weeks and should cruise past them. Then they will either play the Lions at Ellis Park, who they have just smashed, on Province at home which could be a little tougher. They shouldn't be at longer odds than 6/10 in the final so you could lay off your bet at 14/10 on the opposition. The Sharks are 3/10 to progress to the final and if 6/10 in the final would work out to 11/10 so get at much 16/10 as you can. I fortunately also got a bit of 28/10 before last weeks match.

Shrek, i hear you. I did say last week that i like the Sharks to retain the title. I just see this week as the Sharks to win and then set up a final against WP. I think the Sharks pummelling the Lions last week has made it a little easier for WP to get past them this week, although it is going to be a tough game. Let's see what happens. I am still pondering how much to put on NZ.....

I am fortunate to be able to leave the handicap in the final as I couldn't see NZ not winning the World Cup on home soil so have a decent 8/10 on them winning the final now. How France have made the final makes the mind boggle. The are not an overly happy camp and had one good half of rugby in this World Cup (first half against England). If New Zealand can score an early try to settle their nerves I could see a massive score coming.

I agree that WP should beat a softened up Lions team but the Lions had nothing to play for against the Sharks and I think we will see a much better Lions side this weekend, this game will go down to the wire. Lets hope the bees will stay away from Kings Park this weekend.
