Easy solution to that one - invest in a PVR - you won't be sorry (tu) - heaven it would be if we had that 2nd TT channel

Frodo what I do on Night Racing nights is record the program the family want to watch and start the program in my recordings then when it is race time I stop the program, watch the race and after the race restart the program from where it was stopped. If I am really feeling lucky I ask my wife to get me a beer during the race as she is not interested in watching it anyway.

Shrek and UD......my wife doesn't like the horses hey. If it is at night especially when i want to watch the race.......there is always something on that she wants to watch at that time......then it's a big problem when i change the channel.....hahhaha......anyway, she soons gets over it. The other night she said....."I can't believe you still watching the horses at 10pm!"

I must be blessed to have a) a dual view decoder and b) a wife who enjoys racing, at least in small doses. All problems solved.
Maybe Father Christmas can bring me a PVR?

I think for family life, night racing is not great. I've started to give it a miss. Sometimes your family has to be reminded they come first.

Matthew a PVR is a must. Don't worry when it is Super Rugby season every Saturday I get "you have already watched 4 matches today are you really going to watch another?". "Of course" usually gets a night in the spare room.

Of course I'm also lucvky in that racing is classified as work in my life. And it's once a week, not every week. We have no kids and we aren't newly married 20 somethings who are glued to each other 24/7...lol. So it all works out rather well.(
