The problem with these "prep" sort if races is that almost everything that matters is coming off a break and being aimed at much bigger things, Look at that rather farcical race that Antious won at Clairwood the other day. As much of a fitness edge as Great Kali might have, though, he looks like a VW in a field of F1 cars to me and the F1 cars will all need to have two flat tyres for him to win.
(Right, now watch Great Kali sh!t in....)

Top chance if ready. This time of year we gets loads of good horses in both Cape Town and Jozi coming back from a rest and that makes form study particularly hazardous, but it's good to see them back out again and we kind of have to go with that form suggests and hope for the best. In any case, by a large I suppose it's easier to get a sprinter ready after break than a stouter type, and good horses racing fresh are always to be taken very seriously anyway. Kavanagh is a recent case in point, I suppose.

Berry Blaze x Lady Var. (Was going to say Berry Blaze x Cherbourg but I guess you don't want two favourites....?)
