It is after all a handicap - so in theory every horse has a chance - look what happened in the Victory Moon - and that was at set weights, so should have been easier to pick the winner - have not had a look at the weights for the SC yet - but The Apache and Il Sanpietro ran great races under big weights in the VM - and both should be even better over 2000 - PJ still deserves to be the favorite imo - but the draw has made it a little more open imo
I think Charles Laird is concentrating on KZN - and I think he has a lot less horses than in years gone by
