Really struggling with this card - gregb what do you make of Insurgent in the 7th? Last run not too bad against stronger (bar Legal Account) and MR is coming down - abundance of talent in the Kannemeyer yard makes him not competitive in the Cape - so trying hos luck in KZN's off season

Frodo as I said above, not an easy card for me as well...

Difficult to look past Legal Account (has let the side down before), not sure if Insurgent has some problems considering the long rest between runs this year, if there is an upset what about Read My Heart??

insurgents race is a novice plate...very trappy card and im having some small bets on fire curtain eway back to 5f be better and scotwood win as he ran close to a 95 last time and hoping he can reproduce it...will be watching rest of card as it is a minefield with an appys race thrown in the middle of exotics not for me thks...the fav in first has it all to imo as coming down in dist from a 6f at pmb in hard going now down to a 5f greyville in much softer going plus a very inexperienced appy aboard and if misses the jump at this course both horse and jockey wont know where they are,,,probably end up with egg on my face but its about opinions

Race 4 Falconers Knot

Race 5 Magnanimous
Race 5 Chill

Race 6 Beaubez

Race 7 Catalectric

Race 8 Lizards Passion

Thanks for your input Pirates.... Fire Curtain is the first leg of my L15 so we both may have egg on our face.

This is the best site for honest views on all aspects of racing, 9/10 the races are run at proper pace and the jocks do ride to the line.GB i have just looked through the prices in Uk and Winning Edge race 1 is on offer at 12/1,do you think i should snap it up for a ew bet? I know you guys are shorter

Hi Pirates,I rated that run 98 ??. the ?? is cos I have reservations about a race with such a small field.....if that doesn't worry ,then he should be a blinder?
A positive of that run IMO was the pretty fast time.

yes he did have a soft lead that day i agree and wealthy and wise bled that day and was pulled out the race...got some dbles into him so wont press much further as a slight concern was his run on gold cup day in very sticky conditions and hopefully today the sting is out the ground only...he has improved plenty since gelding and tongue tie though and ice axe in this field would be very very short so we will wait and see..also i believe he will be better in a mile as he is unbeaten from 2 starts over it...thanks rob

Race 1 - Fire Curtain - Win
Race 2 - Injaazaat - Win
Race 3 - Kiyira - Place

That's my treble for today

Legal Account too costly to follow but in saying so, Marcus did say put the blinkers on and put her over 1200m at Greyville and it's race over. Well thats what happening today and he is the pilot. I will have a small bet

Cheers
