Welcome to all the newbies...:)-D

To Homer, Shrek and Sham Racing all the best today... Shrek I feel for you man, you own 2 stayers yet they seldom get to run over the correct distances ....:X

Me think Lunar Lee is a HUGE runner even from that draw ... RACE OVER !!!!:D

Felix for an early double races 1 and 2 and Jean Roi
to win the 5th....:)

I agree, I like high merit rated horses in plate races, as long as the distance suits and the current form is there. Forest Digger seems to tick all the boxes, although he isn't drawn great. Still, this is Fairview and (pardon the pun) it is an extremely fair track, so the draw is not insurmountable. Of course the ratings don't identify the winner in plate races all the time - if they did we'd all be rich and the handicappers would have become full time punters ages ago.:D But they work often enough for my liking.

As for Pythagaros (or however poor old Pythagoras' name has been butchered), he had a gale force tailwind to help him when he won at Clairwood. Ice Machine was making his debut from an unfavourable draw, probably found the distance too short, and beat the blind school on Tuesday anyway. Still, first time in a handicap could be interesting today, although I must admit I've brassed him completely in Winning Form.

If Lemon Fizz's last run wasn't too flattering he could be a big runner back in a handicap over a better distance today.
