There is nothing to say that a horse must be penalised for winning a plate race. If it is deemed that the horse ran to its rating, why should the rating automatically increase? This is not the old race figure system.
That said, I hope that Inca's Spirit's rating is correct and that we not going to be informed of an increase later today. This sort of oversight when a horse has raced twice in quick succession has sometimes happened before.

Racing Guru not to worry, I make Inca's Spirit hard to beat. I am just hoping that 2 distance races in a week may find her out.

Yes, it rained most of the day yesterday. But as I have mentioned before,
Arlington is built on a sand dune, and the rain simply sinks away. This is
provided the track has been properly maintained, and that not all resources
are concentrating on Fairview.

Inca's Spirit was one of 2 horses very well handicapped in it's last run,and it's win was therefore no surprise(the surprise was the bad run by October Club....the other well hanicapped runner)
That race is hard to assess IMO ,as a line horse is not all that clear for me.....but I am sure that Inca's Spirit ran below it's 87 rating!

hi filly
i have to agree with you on race 1 but not so sure about the berryman.his distance record 0-2-7 and he either turned/carried inwards on its last two runs at fairview.what does that mean/indicate to you?
ok corral another to consider but they have to beat royal treasure which will be in the top 3.

Sometimes the converse is true. If the trainer has left her in the race, he might have picked up something in the run last week which will be rectified today. Just hoping.
