Not exact;y. but aside maybe from the Derby the stakes are absolutely Mickey Mouse, I'm told. You do not want to send your flops there....:D

Zimbabwe is a different story. The stakes are half way decent, paid in US$, and the whole show is a lot more professional than Kenya.

@ ColinF...who notified you that vet scratched the horse and what was the reason for the vet to scratch the horse after the race?

Actually, without the actual figures admittedly, I can tell you that the money from these smaller venues adds up quite nicely. So they are here to stay.

However, I'm sure the game won't die if we lose Ngong.>:D<

Pure guess work from very bad coverage (their local commentator with his head up his arse as per usual) ....however it was evident that the horse did load (when he said that it did not) again the horse did not get a clear start and appeared to have
reared up and the handlers made contact trying to steady it as the gates opened....so the horse was not scratched because
it may have injured its self but was a NON-RUNNER....

I hope that NGONG feed is not available to other key racing juristrictions because that oaf also made an on air comment on the AHS outbreak in KZN putting paid to IGUGU's Dubai campaign.....such misinformation will do our protocols no favours when
heard in the wrong racing circles...:?.

Why not help and develop Ngong eg with aspirant apprentice jockeys at our academy, a common stud book, an improved camera feed from the races, exchanging talents, etc.

Ag man, please dont shoot me down....

The racing dissimination called Ngong racecourse, a racing official, told him that the Vet declared the horse at the start unfit to run....it was loaded and jumped and raced as no one notified them, so it was declared a non runner.

Unless that official was wrong who knows.
