Race 4 Conditions - I think the 5/2 on Chocolicious is still relatively expensive. So HAPPY ARCHER for an EW; despite the 1200 arguably a little short I hope the racing maxim "class prevails" will come to the fore; in her last start she beat Beach Beauty who subsequently won next time out; Tarry is still in form.

Race 8 Xmas Handicap - brass Black Wing who, for me, has mediocre form and is a false favourite; by dutching CODE ROCK and BAY ROUTE; current effective odds for the dutch is abt 27/10; they are both unbeaten in two, Delpech and Wright are hot, Bay Route is the sole front runner.

On paper there is very little to choose between DONNINGTON and I AM WILL in the 2nd but there is a lot to like to about the way IAW ran on in his 2nd start and for me very very hard to beat...Muzi's best ride is DEVON GOLD (4,5Kg's better off with Auto Pilot for 1,75L) but IMO Coffee Sheik is the best bet on the card.
Give everything but up!

Wow, how bad is race 2 for a baby race without hope? The average losing distance for the raced lot is about 15 lengths!

Nothing left for bookies to do except price up a race between marcus on a horse that's been beaten twice in a row by 10 L, and a first timer. There isn't a runner who looks to have a merit out of the 50's (a nett 30 for the rocket scientists)...Holy cow!

Well I think Forest Gump said 'Life's a box of chocolates' and there seems to be a few choice chocolates in the box today at the Boxing day meet - excotics probably won't be paying too much - best bet for me is Country Rose in the 4th - has easily beaten Ruby Cartel twice before and there does not seem to be to be much between RC and Chocolicious - tail wind today imo is going to count against the Tarry runners.

Value bet comes in the last where I fancy Beast of Burden, who jumps from the plum draw is probably going to be in front turning for home and may just hold on at nice odds.

Play well and enjoy the Boxing Day goodies (tu)
