How Drier can have Forbes as his stable dwarf is beyond me, what a poor ride, Neisus and Forbes coupled on the tote!!!!

Alec Forbes did as much as he could. He is a very good jock imo. (Least we forget he rode a great treble on Wednesday?)

Greg, they literally walked the first 200m's. Beach Beauty fighting for her head all the way through the first 2 furlongs, finally went to the front.

Thanks GB. :)

Beach Beauty set the pace - very reluctant and fighting with the rider

Agreed D, but that still doesn't change the fact that this race is a G1, arguably the most important race for fillies and mares in the country, and for it to be run in such a fashion is a disgrace, I have to admit.

Still, someone had to win, not the best filly imo, but rather the one who suited the slow pace the best!!

Good luck to all!

I had Beach beauty banked in everything......I kept my investment low(as I always do in the WC) cos it was hard to see the pace.......................IMO Forbes made the very best of a difficult situation.

I am sorry but that typifies WC racing for me!
