The horse had a heart attack several hundred metres into the race. I'd put it down to coincidence, if there had still been a problem with the gates the ensuing races would surely not have been run.

besides all the other problems at greyville...tellytrack informs us ealier in the day that Race 4 No.15 Samual has replaced Marcus...i really liked the horse as an improver over ground...the horse drifts to 11/2 and wins...guess whos the jock dam Marcus...tellytrack apologises after the race...apparently Samual in the replacement on No. 15 in Race 5...there goes my petrol money
