Harold was a journalist who worked with the Computaform, he also made frequent appearences on Under Starters Orders.

From what Clyde mentioned on Saturday, Harold had passed away in his sleep on Friday Night / Saturday Morning.

He was larger than life and will be a great loss to the racing industry. My condolences to his family and friends.

I must say that whenever Elvis jnr. had a decent ride in Kimberley with a winning chance, Harold would where possible, also mention her in his article. He really was trying to promote her riding career, & for that I am eternally gratefull. Ironically Elvis jnr. did win on one of Harolds horse's at Turffontein. - BEYOND THE SUNSET at any price !
Condolonces to the family & friends, he will be sorely missed.

Harold lived for racing . He also worked at Tellytrack for Racing International as a presenter every week for many years.
His love for horse racing was always evident and his opinion much respected. RIP.
