I think with Harry his record isnt brilliant because his always managed small teams.
His first big club is Spurs and when he took over they were in relegation trouble and
his improved them massively and playing good football.
The england players dont need a tactical genius, they need a manager that will instill some
belief at these big tournaments.A manager that can get his point across and make them
beleive that they are as good as any other team.Harry will put an arm around some and bollock others.
His man management is what england need, his the total opposite of Cappello who couldnt communicate
with the players.
We should have done it after world cup

couldnt say it any better dtf and who knows with all these excellent youngsters coming through in premiere league maybe harry can get them to win a tournament, so give him a chance as he cant do any worse worse than the managers of the last 40yrs or so.i think he is right man for the job and hope he can turn englands fortunes around.he has quality players at his disposal so he must just make the right selections and england will be a force again.

England will never win a major title. They are over rated, over paid and over the hill. They believe in all the hype that the media and their deluded fans bestow upon them. The only reason why they won the 1966 world cup, and boy dont they constantly remind the world about it, is that the dodgy Russian linesman gave them a goal that never was

Never is a long time CNC.
Not many countries have won the world cup.
At least we have.

You right Dave, but when you and I have departed from this world we will never know. Let me rephrase, never in my lifetime and I am still a pup.
Argentina, West Germany, Germany, Spain, Brasil,Italy and Uruguay are the others to win it. Still 1966 was a long long long time ago for a country who believes its the best.

Chicken i think you have been reading too many english newspapers, the normal man in the street knows how good we are.
Average. Its the press that keep hyping england. But i am more optimistic with Redknapp than the last 4 managers weve had.
I think england need to play a high tempo game and press the ball, not this slow.slow.possesion game.
If Redknapp can blend some youth before Rio we might have a decent tournament. After the euros i think we will see some improvement..Could be worse Chicken, thank god im not scottish...LOL

I agree with you only the the Scottish thing because neither am I. What England need is a clean sweep. Get Terry, Ferdinand, Cole Lampard Crouch and Lampard out. Bring in all these young guys and you may just may do well (reach the quarter finals) in the next world cup
