Good question Greg...........Training horses is a business and some people are much better at business than others.......some stables excercise their horses and some also manage them.............easy to see into which category the Shams fit and well done to them

i and many others enjoy comments from trainers and jockeys on the welfare of their horse...like with many things in life some are consistently accurate and some are not...at the end of the day we make the decisions which horses we go for and not them so please blame yrself at the end of the day ...

The Bass stable has a tipping line, right?
My question: did they tip their horses to win?
With confidence?
remember they CHARGE for the crap they sometimes feed you

I think we should all consider that horses can't talk, except Mr Ed and that the info given by trainers/jocks/tipsters is just an opinion and to tell us if a horse is well etc
We have to make the final call and this will always be a hard game.
Good punting!

i hv to admit i follow cape racing and a tip for punters free of charge.the bass stable had a quiet summer season as well as kotzen stable.ramsden and snaith had brilliant seasons.its now time to follow bass stable even if u think the horse has poor form incl in ur bets.all the stables get a turn and i feel its now the turn of the bass stable.still waiting for kotzen to fire but his turn will come.

Dave you are quite right ,but Gregs point that some stables can read their non-talkers much better than others.
I am not talking about deliberate misleading cos I don't think that is what it is about.........I think that many actually don't know..........the only thing I have ever wanted to know from a stable is how fit they think the horses are..........the rest I prefer to get wrong myself.
