thats a bit nasty hibs. Why would I want to ruin this great comp. Its you who needs to think before you post. Scotia explained the situation but you have failed yet again. All i wanted to confirm was the fact if your selection did not win on the first day then you could not post a selection for day two. Obviously that was far too much for you to grasp.

As I am sure you have gathered the Clan could not rise to Garricks challenge and we hope he will be back next year, thanks again to Garrick and all the entries.

Dear Clan,

I'm genuinely sorry to see you all crash and burn so early in the competition. At the very least I was expecting to be seriously under the whip until the last leg.

Now I am reminded what it's like to be a bookmaker - you write the tickets for 85 punters and 81 can be torn up after the first of four legs. In the second leg one surviving punter went missing and the other three went down by a narrow margin. Easy game!

It also reminded me ( for the millionth time ) the risks involved in backing odds on shots. They look seductive and seem unbeatable but so many do, in fact, get beaten. They also tend to suck in almost all of the punters who cannot make up their minds and elect to 'go with the flow'. The flow is often headed straight into the storm water drain.........

I'm sure to put up some money for next year. But remember - Cheltenham is the graveyard of favourites and you are also funking against the entire NH industry ( and Ireland! ) who aim their horses specifically at this festival.
