Imagine the banter on Teletrack, "jocks uncle beats parade ring spectator before the big race, horse beaten during the race, wife beaten after the final leg of the pick six because the stipes beat the favorite in the boardroom - all in the name of the sport of kings and if you didn't hit the jackpot today there's racing at Flamingo Park tomorrow where we are tipping a very nice filly to beat the field."

Everyone can suffer from a rush of blood to the head occasionally, and not only those (like Gavin, and myself) of Latin origin. I'm pretty sure that Gavin is well aware that he was wrong and is genuinely sorry. Racing is a high pressure environment where things tend to happen very fast, and tempers can flare. I've seen more than one jockey of non-Latin extraction lose his cool with a horse, including one (now retired) gentleman of Afrikaans origins who deliberately cracked one of our horses over the head with his whip after a race at dear old Bloemfontein years ago. He got a few choice words in his ear from the trainer and probably got hauled in by the Stipes as well, but it happened, he paid the price, and we moved on.

100% - I've always found him to be quite soft on the horses he rode for me so i do not think this is testament to his riding style - Remember Tex was the guy, if memory serves, that was behind the new riding crops -

How do you suggest we do that Homer? We request full name and valid email address at this stage, we have come a long way from fly by nights anoms, but it's never 100% on an 24/7 open forum.

I got the impression that Homer wasn't being completely serious, but I could be wrong. B)
