Bass rarely wins with first timers, normally need a run or 2.... His first winner comes up in the 2nd, Hammie's Hooker....;)

Not so bad. Small yard with really decent form 3 rd win last 30 runners along with 13 places and a couple of 5th places.

Maybe a nice horsie for the yard.

I don't think there is such a thing in SA racing as a shocking result in maidens who have had a max of 1 or 2 runs. Often won by big outsiders and often pays to have a little investment on anything 50s plus in fields such as that. I was mainly on the second - which after 5 seconds yesterday is not a good sign! :) - but I can't complain, nothing was really backed first time out which is a fair indication most of the trainers were just giving them a run and seeing how they go. If Tiger finishes last next time out though then I'll definitely be peeved!
