81000 traded on horse at 1-1 average. How much do they put on pirates ?

Of course not. But are you saying that trade deemed by betfair to be unusual should never be reported ? Are you saying that it is IMPOSSIBLE that anything suspicious was going on ?

you tell me as the horse was traded at different prices ...but i repeat 81 000 dolllars was not put on the horse plus the majority on betfair trade and try not to have a liability or minimise it

I understand its impossible to determine exact amount traded because people buy and sell. But for Titch to suck the figure of 1300 euros out his thumb is amazing.
I did speak to betfair and they did say large trade. Irrespective of exact amount.
I'm just saying - isn't it good for the game for things to be audited ? How can it be bad ?

i agree with you there mariner ,i didnt watch interbet and the stipes have access to it and all betting sheets of our local bookies so they must take up these issues for any irregularities...unfortunately us punters have zero representation on any level

With the amount of dirt SA Racing sweeps under the carpet the furniture has gone through the roof already

wanna answer my question regarding your choice of heading for this thread??? it is quite obvious what you are insinuating and it is a load of bollocks...in a poxy little carlisle hurdle there was 276,000 euro traded on the fav?? by your own admission the average price traded was 1/1 about an 8/10 shot in the race in question, heres a news flash for you bet exchanges always lay better odds than the local bookies...

Oh my goodness Titch. are you comparing trade on ANY uk race to trade on a South African race ? CMON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pirates will back me up here - trade on ANY uk race will be much higher than ANY sa race.
Cmon man - dont be idiotic

Its always difficult to call what was traded, it's not just simple as saying that 40500 was punted and 40500 layed, because so many punters are taking a position to trade a different prices, where it's the same punters money being played and layed or turned over, only in the case of an individual who normally plays 100 per race and then comes and tries to lay 10,000 of a horse would be erratic and worth an investigation, plus I feel the heading could have been better.
