Interbet
13 years 1 month ago
Kranji - I took small bets on the top 2 and Mr Big (14/1). Interbet did not accept the bet at 14/1 odds shortened to 11/1. Withdrew bet went in at 11/1. Race goes off bet still not accepted Mr Big wins.
Whats up with this?????

Happened to me and a friend a few times. When you place a bet all of the sudden the odds shortens/ed. They only enticing you with their better odds for you to place the bet with them. Lost a few quid through their dubious methods.

Its a little bit irritating. You cannot play all horses in the field. In fact I had a R20 on Black Ice too which was also not accepted. The volume traded on Mr Big was the highest of the lot.
Should I be betting elsewhere where I am guaranteed to have my bet accepted?

great concept but has been extremely disapointing from a punters perspective...like the rest of the industry they need to sit down with their customers and the bookies that belong to the site to vastly improve the odds and volume on offer plus the pathetic scenario that odds shorten countrywide WHEN YOU ASK FOR A BET AND THE HORSE SHORTENS WITHOUT IT BEING LAID SOMETIMES...even if its only 3k of the horse...the biggest joke is their antepost market it is non existant with very little or no offers on the site...

Iinterbet definitely have a bot operating on overseas mkts.I have monitored this carefully and it is definitely the case. The prices on British racing are being botted from Betfair. You only have to watch Betfair and Interbet at the same time to see how this mirror effect is happening. From what I have heard it is Inteerbet themselves who offer these prices, not one of the 100+ bookmakers who they claim are doing it.Surely this can't be ethical,as their business is supposed to be facilitator and not bookmaker themselves.

welcome to interbet and the one negative of an exchange(so to speak)
Forget about getting on at 6/1 and bigger . Unless your selection is no good .
After every race replay on teletrack INTERBET HAS A SLIDE ADVERTISING "INTERBET SP" . Now i know betfair also advertise their sp . The difference is that punters can back at 'betfair Sp' .
Now i ask how can punters bet on the ADVERTISED "INTERBET SP" or is it just a gimmik ?
Where is this function on the interbet site?

One other recommendation for Interbet whilst we are discussing issues, the multiple bet is a balls up. If one of the prices in your multiple change, you have tob redo the whole thing. All other sites update automatically

Spot on Solo.........the prices in the left hand column are never higher than ruling price(bookies.co.za),without a hint of a stretch, and are as bad as are available on any local site(and apply to multiples) so you don't ever want their SP.
For them to reflect the "best avalable at race time" as SP is just misleading as I have yet to see their advertised SP reflected in the "price" column.
Interbet do offer great opportunities but need to be used selectively!
Also.you are not going to be banned for being a successful punter.......bigger prices are offered deliberately and voluntarily by the layers, who don't care who takes them.
(Looking closer today........if you accept what is offered you always get a bet,but obviously requests are a different matter, but that is a chance you take.)
Interbet is great for individual bets and if you are concentrating on your betting. If you are going to be away for the race and lead-up you probably its dangerous to leave a request as you cannot be sure you will have a bet.Looking forward to the day we,the public, can lay there!!!!

Guys who have not used exchanges are in for a whole new world when they arrive.
I remember listening to SA vs NZ Test matches on a crackly transistor radio at 4 in the morning at boarding school, while the rest of the world watched TV............... our present betting options give me the same feeling.
The top exchanges allow 24/7 betting on 100's of events at any one time and you can bet on winners or losers(laying)
Its only a matter of time but patience isn't my strong point........lol
Guys like yourself who like to spot future champs well in advance can use them with great success..........if you feel sure a horse, very early, will have a great chance in a race like the July(or guineas or derby),for instance, you take,a very big price while its under the radar and, if it wins races leading up to the main event, you lay back a much shorter price, nearer the race, for a nice profit, win or lose.........how much fun could you have trying to get that right every so often?
