I also think that Rob has summed it up nicely. You either agree on a price, or you put it on the market and let others "set" the price for you, in a manner of speaking. As often happens in these cases, the other existing owners who want to stay in the horse then have the opportunity to buy the horse back and buy out the partner/s who want to sell their share/s.
