It was bad enough how many times he cocked up during the carnival but this was the cherry on top, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, I hope some french punters give him a work over in the car park....:X

"I'm not disappointed," said Soumillon, who was riding the dual Group 1 winner for the first time. "The horse was a bit keen in the early stages, and when I took the lead I thought he'd win very easily. When I asked the horse for an effort he was a little short, and put his head in the air. But I'm confident for the Poulains."

I'm pretty sure this is the same horse that came from last on the turn under Frankie Dettori to win a Gr 1 on Arc day last year. Yesterday he found himself in front much earlier and almost looked like he started loafing. I'm not saying that Soumillon rode a great race, but this may be the sort of horse that needs a strong early gallop to settle. He got it on Arc day when an Italian raider whose name I forget took off like it was an 800m dash, but yesterday's race looked very different.

We watching the same race?? Horse loafing, maybe the jockey?? ...If Soumillon did not look around (at least 4 times) and concentrated on riding the horse would NOT of lost...::o

The jockey thought he was cruising, which he was, but I reckon the horse died on him in the last few strides. Hence my loafing comment. It wasn't a great ride, agreed, but I reckon the horse fooled the jockey to a large extent - bearing in mind that this does not appear to be the horse's preferred style of racing. He may have simply hit the front too soon.

No Magic, I think you seeing things, the jockey definitely cost the race, you don't ride a horse like that even if you hit the front 250 metres out... go do some handicapping man....>:D<
