Mickdaam the one to beat
We haven't had Mickdaam back long but he runs in the Tattersalls Millions 3YO Trophy and on his Dubai form he has a serious chance. He came back from there looking a million dollars and Jamie Spencer was very happy when he came and had a sit on him the other day. He was always a horse we liked a lot and I'm just hoping the trip back to Malton hasn't taken too much out of him. It's been cold here the last few nights and I'm sure he felt it.

Most Improved, Manton 2,000 Guineas hope, will miss the Craven Stakes today. The Lawman colt was found to be slightly lame on his near foreleg as he was being prepared to leave for Newmarket early this morning.

Manton’s vets were in attendance before 7.30 a.m. investigating the source of Most Improved’s lameness. Their diagnosis will be crucial, but Brian Meehan is optimistic that it will be only a temporary setback.

Brian said: “Obviously at this stage his participation is open to question. We will closely monitor the situation in conjunction with the vets, and as soon as they have cleared him, we will keep everyone informed.”
