Subjectivity and interpretation are the nature of refereeing in all sports.Technology can be used to gain further insight, but ultimately all decisions are subjective to some degree. If there is going to be subjectivity, then one would want consistent subjectivity. That's all I'm asking for.

do you know how i feel as an international player betting on USA racing? the horse wins a race in the process he bumps another "no hoper" going nowhere had no chance of beating him or any of the other 5/6 horses in front of him, and what happenned the winner gets disqualified? and placed behind the no hoper, thank you but no thank you, wont see my money again.
I do believe in SA we have a fair system, yes sometimes they do not get it right but I do think in most cases they do, and i am certain that the international customers is bound to get a far better deal in SA than what they ever will get in some other racing countries, as far as I could determine how they deal with objections, the USA system is the worst of the lot. at least a no hoper can not cost the winner a race in SA by just getting bumped and no hoper runs nowhere!!

'Consistent subjectivity' - not easy to achieve that imo (the rugby refs struggle to consistently decide if something relatively straight forward like a knock-on has occured) - but yes we should STRIVE for that
