Alec probably the hardest working Jockey in Natal and won plenty top group races for Dennis Drier amongst others.1st at the track every morning. Secret Symbols run had nothing to do with Alec as it looks like something must have gone wrong with SS. He just does not run like that.Will confirm tomorrow.

alec has ridden plenty winners for me and i echo what craig has saidhe is very hard working loyal and honest rider and doesnt deserve to be jocked off if he is to be..for fcuks sake the race before the guineas at greyville he rode a cracker on bambina stripes to win the group one classic at turfontein....owners who dont show loyalty dont deserve success in this game...what happened to alec could happen to any jockey

i agree...owners have short memories...i watched the replay...can't attribute any blame to forbes for coming down....can't think that that weould have been the reason for getting the boot...but whatever the reason...it leaves a sour taste...but lets hear what the right reason was...who knows...maybe it was serious....these owners are not novices...they've been in the game for a while...so i also dont think it was not done just for the sake of it...interesting to know what the fall out was about

Top rider imo..always gives off his best..and when telecrack do show the post race interviews,I have found him to be very honest.

the owner will probably now get a worse ride from someone else that doesn't know the horse as well as Alec. Hope Alec is feeling a little better today

One of my favourite jocks. Backed him at 20/1 when Highland Night won the Gold Cup 1st time. Highland Night shorten drastically on raceday. I think he also should ride won of my favourite horses in the 90's Gleaming Sky which won the KZN Oaks.
