its very simple if you have a horse that you want to run in the july and other handicaps then you cannot compete with horses at wfa terms with the real danger of getting a penalty if you happening to run well above your rating...its simply not worth taking the risk as it can ruin a horses career

That is true. If you don't have a classic horse and it's a handicapper, it is best to guard your rating as best you can.

In the UK you often get group races with very few runners. They are still great to watch and play on imho. If you have to have 20 pieces of shit run before you can play, you don't have to wait too long.

Too many horses that aren't good enough compete in our WFA races anyway.

A horse is either a group horse or not.If they improve to group level, then so be it,but far too many horses careers are being stuffed up because they are incorrectly placed.

This 6 horse field will make for a good contest without any excuses.

I would have loved to have seen Europa Point take on this field. It doesn't look like she will have any prep runs going into the July assuming she runs in the July.

I don't believe any of us expected such a small field - I have the egg on standby, but the race could be set up perfectly for What a Winter - no pace - sit - wait - sprint for home.

And Link Man - trailing in far behind in the Sprint last week - everybody thought he must have bled again - but here he is again 2 weeks later?
