to me its obvious the cape boys are cleaning up the features so why would anyone go against jackson in july wen its obvious he is the best horse in rsa at the moment over 1800m and up! dont fill the bookies coffers by backing no hope horses like pomodoro and ilha belha because thats wat the bookies want.if jackson runs and he carries 57kgs its race over.

I will not bank on that.
Anton will try and get his weight down to 52kg and ride IB, failing which will sit on Vettel if it gets a run.
Else Delpech will be on IB.

After watching PJ I'm starting to think he could be a serious contender, his finish over the last 200m was sweet

In my humble opinion Gold Onyx has no chance of getting into the fray in the July on the Greyville track. Just my 5c worth. As usual though will only look seriously once the weights and draws are done.

PJ ran really well and wasnt punished, good to see him striding out nicely towards the end...He will need to be handy though in the VDJ and then he might well go quite close... interesting race this year thats for sure.

Gold Onyx( if they get in) has done well at Greyville and could also be value for the 6 places story along with PJ..

@ Bad Company

PJ brings the Summerhill Ready2Run factor in the race, 1st and 2nd last year.
Also don't forget the R1,6 mill buy back. Now just add Dougie Whyte to the mix.

@Press ... nope, not yet. Perhaps after weights and draw ..... I was not making a statement i was offering my opinion. On Saturday the race was run at a pace to suit him and he took the long straight to wind up. I do not believe he has the kick in 400m's to get into the fight...{shrug}
